Greenhow Geneology From Kyle Warren Greenhow (1975)

It was originally thought that our line of Greenhow's was descended from John Greenhow of Williamsburg, VA. After much research on the name John Greenhow, I cannot find a connection. Our original ancestor was named James Greenhow, and came over from England around 1840 or so, 90+ years after John of Williamsburg. There is no information as to his father or mother. While he might be related to other Greenhows who came oversees, through brothers or other ancestors, without William's father or mother I can't prove it. James had many children, but only through his son William Cooper Greenhow did the name carry on. William married Emma D. Hyser in 1872. Their first son, John was born in 1873. John married Evaline Rarabaugh in 1898. John had two children, Esthell born in 1899 and Hazel born in 1901. I do not have further records on either of them. It seems that John's lineage stopped when he had no sons. William and Emma's second son, my great great Grandfather, was named Albert Greenhow, and was born in 1877 or 1878. He married twice. The first marriage to Bessie Cordelia Smith was in 1898. They had 7 children: 1. Clifford born in 1900. (Died at the early age of 30.) 2. Elsie born in 1901. 3. Myron born in 1902. (Died in 1902) 4. William born in 1903 (Also died in 1903) 5. Herbert born in 1904. (My great grandfather!)  6. Emma born in 1907. (Named after her grandma Emma.) 7. Bessie born in 1909. (Named after her mother.) From what I can determine Bessie and Albert divorced. Bessie lived until 1954 when she died from complications due to a bus accident where she was dragged for one city block. The second marriage is listed as 1908 to Paula Schmecken. It is interesting to note that Albert's 7th child with Bessie was born in 1909, after he re-married to Paula. Albert and Paula had two children. Lila who married George McMahon (March 2, 1920 - April 30, 2003), and another female listed as Miss Greenhow died at 1 year old. My great Grandfather Herbert married Alice Anthony on April 8th, 1938. They had two children. Jan Greenhow in 1938 who later married Burton Smith, and Cliff Greenhow in 1937 who later married Bonnie Hoey. Cliff and Bonnie had 3 children, Warren Clifford in 1957, Ronald Eugene in 1960, and Beth Ann in 1965. Ronald married Teresa Leverty and has two daughters, Kara and Koreen. Beth Ann married Mark Bostrom and has 2 children, Kala and Matthew. Warren married Susan Peterson. They had two boys, Kyle Warren on June 2, 1975, and Kenton (K.C.) Clifford on May 6, 1977. Kyle married Brenda Gellert on May 31, 1997 and now has three children, Josiah Kyle born May 29th 1999, Jesse Norman born January 25, 2001, and Julia Jean born on April 26th, 2003. K.C. married Jennifer Scholze on June 24th, 2000 and have 1 child, Olivia Grace born October 21, 2002.
